在過去的歷史，只為股東實現價值的單一使命，遠超過對員工、社會乃至環境的關懷，一直主導著企業的使命發展，股東至上也成為廣泛接受的法律與社會常識。不過，這一切是有可能被改寫。如何維持市場發展又能促成勞工從異化中解放，掌握自主權，一直是台灣勞工陣線的思考目標。
In the past history, the single mission of realizing value for shareholders far exceeded the care for employees, society and the environment. It has always dominated the mission development of the company. The supremacy of shareholders has also become a widely accepted legal and social common sense. However, all this is likely to be rewritten. How to maintain market development and promote the liberation of labor from alienation and master autonomy has always been the thinking goal of the Taiwan Labor Front.
封面指定以模擬版畫風格繪製插畫，以馬、工人和蘋果樹與推車暗示資本、勞工、勞動成果等。全書圍繞資本主義的抽象概念，利用幾何圖形輔以裝飾線，字型選用襯線體，使讀者更容易與西方知識感做連結，呼應以翻譯理論為基礎，再套用到台灣現況的書籍內容。
The cover is designated to draw illustrations in a mock print style, with horses, workers, apple trees and carts suggesting capital, labor, and labor results. The book revolves around the abstract concept of capitalism, using geometric figures supplemented by decorative lines, and the font selection of serif fonts, making it easier for readers to connect with Western knowledge, echoing the translation theory as a basis, and applying the content of the book on the current situation in Taiwan.
